【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesguidancetoorganizationsthatmayhavetoproducemicroformsinevidence,toenablethemtoshowthatthemicroformhasbeenmadeinaccordancewithanestablishedprocedure.Itgivesrecommendationsforthetreatmentoforiginaldocumentsandmicroforms,includingmicrocopiesfromcomputeroutputmicrofilming(COM),theestablishmentofamicroformprogrammeandthemonitoringoftheseprocedures.Recommendationsconcerningformsandregisterstobemaintainedbypersonnelandtheretentionofcertificatesarealsogiven.Itappliestomicrofilminrollform,microfiche,microfilmjackets,aperturecardsandsomeupdatablemicroforms,whetherthefilmingandsubsequentoperationsareperformedin-houseorbyabureau.IngeneraltherecommendationsapplytoCOMoriginals,althoughsomepartsofthecertificatesystemrecommendedinthisstandardcannotbeusedwithsomecomputersystems.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytoerasablemicroformsystems,i.e.thosecapableofhavingimageschanged,deletedorreplacedwithoutleavinganytraceoftheoriginalimage,becauseacourtcouldnotrelyonsuchdocumentsasatrueandaccuraterecord.AnnexAgivesabriefsummaryofthelegalpositionintheUnitedKingdom.AnnexBcontainsexamplesofcertificates.
