【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoverstheuseofconformableeddy-currentsensorsfornondestructivecharacterizationofcoatingswithoutstandardizationoncoatedreferenceparts.Itincludesthefollowing:(1)thicknessmeasurementofaconductivecoatingonaconductivesubstrate,(2)detectionandcharacterizationoflocalregionsofincreasedporosityofaconductivecoating,and(3)measurementofthicknessfornonconductivecoatingsonaconductivesubstrateoronaconductivecoating.Thispracticeincludesonlynonmagneticcoatingsoneithermagnetic(0)ornonmagnetic(=0)substrates.Thispracticecanalsobeusedtomeasuretheeffectivethicknessofaprocess-affectedzone(forexample,shotpeenedlayerforaluminumalloys,alphacasefortitaniumalloys).Forspecifictypesofcoatedparts,theusermayneedamorespecificproceduretailoredtoaspecificapplication.1.2Specificusesofconventionaleddy-currentsensorsarecoveredbyPracticeD7091andthefollowingtestmethodsissuedbyASTM:TestMethodsB244,E376,E1004,andG12.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsareprovidedforinformation.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
